We invited our friend Carla Uriarte, a self-proclaimed “artist of the hearts,” to explore the theme of relationships this season. Born in the Philippines, raised in America and based in Sydney, Australia — Carla’s global perspective brings a new lens to creative endeavours, whether that is in her role as co-founder of Surry Hills’s beloved Cafe Freda’s, or being commissioned by Ganni to create an artwork for their Sydney store. As a previous Incu collaborator, we thought the playfulness and curious style of her work leant itself really well to the story we were trying to tell. We approached her to create artwork that delved into the concept of relationships and offered insight into the meaningful connections we build over time.
