Junya Watanabe launched his eponymous line in conjunction with Comme des Garçons in 1993 after working as a designer for the brand prior. Watanabe's designs reference punk and romantic aesthetics and the method of deconstruction. Crafted in Japan from a creased herringbone polyester fabric, these trousers are cut in a wide, loose fit. Featuring a button waist with a zip fly, dual front pleats, and pre-cuffed ankles, they are finished with front slip pockets and button-closure back pockets.
