First established in Anaheim during 1966 by Paul and Jim van Doren, the brand quickly became popular with early skateboarders due to the rugged make-up and sticky vulcanised rubber sole on their shoes. Nearly 10 years later and the Vans "off the wall" logo makes its debut as Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta design and release the Vans Era to solidify the brand in youth culture forever. The Vans evolution continues as it emerges as a leading action sports brand and collaborates with some of fashion's most notable streetwear brands.
