What’s your role at Incu?
I am the eCommerce Manager at Incu. I look after incu.com and our digital channels.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What did you do before Incu?
I'm originally from Hobart! I moved to "the mainland" to study Fashion Design at Whitehouse Institute of Design and have been working in eCommerce with Incu, Sandro and Maje, Jac + Jack and even further back, MyCatwalk - RIP, ever since.
How would you describe your personal style?
Minimal? Easy, comfortable. I am big on quality; luxury basics and staple pieces that I can get a lot of wear out of and that last forever.
What’s your current WFH situation?
This photo was from the beginning of Covid, when WFH was a novelty… My office/conference room/living room/dining room/pilates studio.
I like to keep it filled with fresh flowers, (and snacks) and burn Maison Balzac incense all day.
People haven’t been able to see our stores and staff the past few weeks. How have you looked to make the online experience amazing for our customers?
We’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to keep up with the demand and continue servicing our customers as best and as quickly as possible. The support over the last 8 weeks has been incredible! We’ve expanded our product offering; bringing more of our retail store selection online, and have created online storefronts for our partners, A.P.C. and rag & bone.
We’ve updated our contact channels and are just about to switch on live chat. Chat you next week! We’ve changed our fulfilment and shipping methods and have implemented new internal processes that I won’t bore you with, but ensure that we’re able to continue improving our services over the coming weeks.
We also started the 'Community' series - a space for us all to stay connected! Hello!
What’s a hidden talent you have?
Taking photos of everything I'm eating. Lettering and illustration, mostly portraiture that I can never seem to finish…
If you had to list your top 10 favourite films/ books/ albums, what would they be?
I’ve been reading the same book for the last 6 months!
I prefer podcasts, they're much better for multi-tasking. I like to pop something on from my list below and head out for a walk around the harbour or the park.
- The mindbodygreen
- Brené Brown
- Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations
- Making Sense with Sam Harris
- Second Life
What are some local businesses you’d like to support right now?
What are you grateful for right now?
My health, my family, my friends, my team!
Finally, what are some of your favourite picks at Incu right now?
My go-to’s are Toteme and Acne, they’re both really wearable and make it easy to look like you’ve put in effort when you haven’t - I had to buy the Kari cardigan from Acne because we almost have the same name. I have an endless supply of t-shirts, my favourites are the Lido Tee's from Incu Collection. And lastly, I love Story MFG for their designs and approach to sustainability.
