Tell us a little about yourself. What were you doing before Incu?
I’m currently the menswear buyer at Incu. Before that I was having a mid-life crisis in Hong Kong and it was excellent.
What are you doing while staying at home?
I’m listening to a bunch of podcasts so I’m extremely tapped into the movie business and the Marvel cinematic universe - The Big Picture, How Did This Get Made, The Cine-Files and The Rewatchables podcasts are good for movies, and I listen to the Daily Planet for my comic fix. I’ll also never get tired of hearing people talk about how much they miss sports, I’m right there with them.
I go through phases with authors, right now I’m onto my third Don Delilo novel and reading Libra. If you’re a fan of Cormac McCarthy, you’d probably know him, but if you don’t he’s well worth a read.
Beyond that, I’m rewatching The Office UK for the thousandth time, and the new season of Terrace House. To be honest, really anything that I come across that looks remotely appealing. I won’t lie, I saw the trailer for Too Hot To Handle and thought, “this could be ok.”
Are there any hobbies or interests you have taken up during this time to stay stimulated?
I’m really excelling at getting out of bed at 8:44 and being at my work station by 8:45. Besides that I’ve re-embraced FIFA20 and currently onto season two of career mode. I’ve won the quadruple with Liverpool, but also sold the heart of the team. I’m very conflicted but I must say Kylian Mbappe looks great in red.
Apart from that, I’ve been cooking a lot and invested in plenty of kitchenware. I’ve also picked up running again to counter the aforementioned gut and abundance of food I’m eating.
What are you thankful for right now?
Thankfully my family and friends are healthy and safe at the moment. It’s such a tumultuous time for everyone, but it’s been heartening to see people come together through this period.
Lastly, what are some of your favourite Incu picks?
I’m old and developing a gut, so I generally just want things that are a bit more comfortable and relaxed in terms of shape. I’m a big fan of most of our Japanese brands and the craftsmanship they bring to the process.
